Pay: $25–$50/hr (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

Promotive is hiring an Experienced Automotive Diesel Road Technician for a well-established, high-volume shop in Cumberland, RI. This is a unique opportunity to earn $104K+ annually while splitting your time between a fully equipped shop and on-the-road service calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform in-shop and roadside diagnostics and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and diesel equipment
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, aftertreatment systems, and emissions components
• Complete preventive maintenance and respond to emergency breakdown calls
• Utilize diagnostic software and scan tools to accurately identify issues
• Document all repairs clearly and accurately using shop systems
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain professionalism and represent the shop confidently during road service calls
• Rotate through on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend support

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician (B-Level or higher)
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel systems
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and emissions systems
• Road service experience preferred
• Ability to work independently in roadside environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
