Position Overview

A private family is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper to oversee the daily care and maintenance of their Upper East Side residence. This is a formal, high-end household requiring a polished professional with strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach to housekeeping.

The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the home to exceptional standards while working closely with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in UHNW households and a strong understanding of fine home care, organization, and service.

While the role is primarily based in NYC, there may be occasional travel to the family’s residences in Southampton or Miami, though travel is infrequent.


Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute daily housekeeping to maintain the residence to the highest standards
• Perform hands-on cleaning of all areas including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common spaces
• Care for fine furnishings, artwork, and delicate surfaces including marble, wood, and specialty materials
• Manage laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe care for the principals
• Maintain organization of closets, storage areas, and household systems
• Monitor and manage household inventory and supplies
• Assist with packing and unpacking for travel as needed
• Coordinate with other household staff to ensure seamless operations
• Prepare the home for principals’ arrivals, guests, and special occasions
• Assist with light service support and occasional event preparation


Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within a private UHNW household
• Strong knowledge of formal housekeeping standards and luxury home care
• Experience overseeing or working alongside household staff
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional demeanor with a high level of discretion
• Ability to work independently and proactively
• Flexibility for occasional travel (Southampton or Miami)
• Strong references from previous employers
• Valid U.S. work authorization
