Job Description
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for managing and leading a small team, ensuring all assigned tasks have been completed and ready for day shift inspections, and performing daily housekeeping operations across the medical campus. This role ensures all areas meet strict hospital cleaning, sanitation, and safety standards. This is a working supervisory position.
Pay & Benefits
- Starting Pay $25/Hour
- Health and Welfare benefit $5.09/hour. (H&W is used to pay for medical premiums)

Schedule
- This is a Day position. The hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:00 PM.
Requirements
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Prior janitorial experience highly preferred.
- Must be able to pass a TB (Tuberculin) skin test prior to the commencement of work.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform daily janitorial operations in assigned buildings and ensure all personnel are wearing proper PPE.
- Drives to and from various locations on base using company vehicles e.g., sedans, vans, or small trucks.
- Be conscious of and adhere to the mission of New Leaf: “To promote independence and quality of life through employment.”
- Conduct weekly safety meetings with correct documentation.
- Responsible for daily operational reports (“dailies”).
- Maintain and document service call logs accurately.
- Assist and manage staff schedules.
- Assist with inventory tracking and communicate supply needs.
- Provide clear communication and pass down for Day shift leadership.
- Ensure compliance with hospital cleaning protocols and service level standards.
- Maintain accountability for cleanliness and performance across two facilities.
- Utilize hospital reporting software for documentation and communication.
- Maintain a key control log of gov’t issued keys.
- Perform and coordinate emergency and on-call cleanup as required.
- Provide professional communication with hospital staff.
- Maintain contract requirements for security of government buildings, contracted spaces, storage rooms and/or areas, company equipment and supplies, including strict adherence to all required government security regulations/policies.
- Be familiar with and compliance with written government contract standards in accordance with the Performance Work Statement.
- Be familiar with and adhere to the company’s safety and emergency procedures and personnel policies and be responsible for the safety and health of crew members.

- Responsible for the quality of work, outcomes and results.
- Responsible for the issue, turn-in and securing of all government and New Leaf keys/vehicles/phones; etc.
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Participate with human resources staff as appropriate, in the development and monitoring of individual evaluations and/or training programs. Attend production and training meetings as required.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare reports on activity, personnel, and information, such as occupancy, hours worked, facility usage, work performed, and departmental expenses.
- Recommend changes that could improve service and increase operational efficiency.
- Completion of all onboarding and required training programs (required).
- Conduct new hire evaluations weekly, then once a month during an employee’s first ninety days.
- Conduct initial and annual IEE (Individual Eligibility Evaluations) with the Human Resources/Vocational Services department for qualifying disabled employees.
- Communicate with staff to resolve performance and personnel problems, and to discuss company policies.
- Assist with the coordination and training of the crew in carrying out and completing scheduled jobs safely and correctly, including use of applicable supplies and equipment.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
- Report all quality control complaints/problems/information to the Quality Assurance Manager and/or Director of Operations, using appropriate forms. Initiate solutions to same.
- Investigate complaints about service and equipment, and take corrective action.
- Issue supplies and equipment to workers.
- Inventory stock to ensure that supplies and equipment are available in adequate amounts.
- Establish and implement operational standards and procedures for the departments supervised.
- Perform and assist with cleaning duties as necessary.
- Prepare chemicals for cleaning.
- Clean facility walls, flooring, equipment, supplies, furniture, and fixtures.
- Inspect work performed to ensure that it meets specifications and established standards.
- Instruct staff of work policies and procedures, and the use and maintenance of equipment.
- Check and maintain equipment to ensure that it is in working order.
- Select the most suitable cleaning materials for different types of linens, furniture, flooring, and surfaces.
- Use an IPad to clock in and out or a desktop when available.
- Use floor polishers such as buffers and slow speeds. Ride on scrubbers and walk behind scrubbers.
- Use carpet cleaner such as spot cleaners, portable carpet machines, Mondo Vap steam cleaners, and truck mounted carpet machines.
- Use extension ladders, step ladders and step stools.
- Use vacuums, back pack vacuums and wet/dry vacuums. Micro fiber mops, flat mops and floor squeegees. Dust mops, corner brooms, foxtail brooms and dusters.

- Up-to-date immunization (shot) records required.
- This position requires the ability to do repetitive movements, standing for long periods of time, walking, bending, stooping and twisting, climbing stairs, kneeling and reaching.
- Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools.
- Requires the use of foot controls.
- Ability to handle and move objects by lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50lbs.
- Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must wear full length pants and closed toed shoes. Reflective Safety vest will be provided by New Leaf.
