Position Overview:

As Vista Senior Living continues its expansion in the Indianapolis area, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic LicensedExecutive Director to lead the overall operations of a senior living community. This role is responsible for driving operational performance, ensuring exceptional resident care, maintaining regulatory compliance, and fostering strong team engagement.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader who prioritizes culture, mission, and service excellence while upholding high operational standards. The Executive Director will lead a dedicated team, oversee daily operations, and create a positive and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

1. Leadership Operations Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of the community to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to all staff members, fostering a positive and productive work culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic goals to improve services and achieve organizational objectives.

2. Resident Care Satisfaction

  • Regularly engage with residents and their families to ensure satisfaction and promptly address concerns.
  • Continuously assess residents' needs and create programs and services that support independence and well-being.
  • Uphold and enhance the quality of life for residents by maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

3. Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including housing and landlord-tenant laws.
  • Conduct audits and evaluations to ensure adherence to all licensing and accreditation requirements.

4. Staff Development

  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of dedicated professionals, ensuring they have the tools and resources to succeed.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and opportunities for professional growth.

5. Community Engagement Partnerships

  • Build and maintain relationships with local agencies, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Promote the community and establish a positive presence and reputation.

6. Budget Management

  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring financial health and resource optimization.
  • Monitor expenses and implement cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality services.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid Executive Director (ED) license
  • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Director preferred, with a strong track record of managing senior living communities
  • Experience overseeing large-scale communities (Independent Living, Assisted Living, and/or Memory Care) is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of housing laws, senior care regulations, and compliance standards
  • Experience working with Medicaid populations is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively and foster a positive, engaged workplace culture
  • Experience working with senior populations and a deep understanding of their unique needs
  • Strong financial and sales acumen, including budgeting, occupancy management, and revenue performance
  • Experience with community transitions, acquisitions, or operational improvements is a plus
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and committed to delivering exceptional service
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
