Introduction:
The Town of Charlton is seeking a highly organized and efficient Executive Assistant to join our team. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Water/Sewer Department and Commission. The Execuitve Assistant is the point of contact for the department. Duties include permitting applications, AP and billing, processing new accounts, records and process liens, attends nightly meetings, along with a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the Department. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Process AP and Billing
Answer phone calls and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner
Greet and assist visitors
Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
File and maintain electronic and hard copy documents
Assists with permit applications and processing.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role is preferred
Strong communication, interpersonal skills and ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner.
Proficiency with computer systems and software, such as Microsoft Office and Excel
Excellent organization and time management skills
Ability to multitask and handle a high-volume workload

Salary Range: $25.58/hr - $28.24/hr depending on qualifications and experience.
