Position Summary
The executive assistant to the Deans and Faculty at the Elon University School of Law will provide administrative support to the Dean, Vice Dean and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, as well as providing clerical and administrative support to faculty. Support for the Deans will include coordinating calendars, travel arrangements, operations of the Deans Suite including providing information to callers, composing correspondence, routing incoming and outgoing mail, and providing general support of events such as graduation, convocation, advisory board, administrative retreats and faculty meetings. Support for faculty members will include general clerical support and assistance with class preparation, presentations, travel arrangements, reimbursements and other administrative tasks. The executive assistant will interact with the public and students as a representative of the dean’s office, law school and university.

Minimum Required Education and Experience
Prefer three to five years in a staff support position in a university, law office or other office setting.

Job Duties

Support for the Dean and Associate Deans will include coordinating calendars, travel arrangements, operations of the Deans Suite including providing information to callers, composing correspondence, routing incoming and outgoing mail, and providing general support of events such as graduation, convocation, advisory board, administrative retreats and faculty meetings. Support for faculty members will include general clerical support and assistance with class preparation, presentations, travel arrangements, reimbursements and other administrative tasks. The executive assistant will interact with the public and students as a representative of the dean’s office, law school and university.
