Events/Marketing Assistant

Job Title: Events/Marketing Assistant
Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
Type: Contract
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, M-F 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (Flexible)

Responsibilities:

• Assist in corporate event planning, including managing logistics for conferences and events
• Coordinate and oversee multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders through professional office correspondence
• Utilize various software platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Outlook/Calendar
• Support problem-solving initiatives related to event organization and office workflows

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related office work experience required
• Experience in corporate event planning or logistics management is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Microsoft Outlook/Calendar
• Professional writing and editing skills
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to various software platforms
• Temporary position from approximately April 20 to October 1
