Events Coordinator 4

Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Events Coordinator for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be three months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.

Position Summary: 
The main function of an events coordinator is to provide high-level administrative support by conducting research, handling information requests and performing clerical functions. A typical events coordinator acts as an information and communication manager.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
  • Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails.
  • Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries.
  • Key projects: This role will contribute to being the lead of the team's organization and event planning. The role will focus on creating an effective working environment overall – provide exciting experiences.
  • Build out the Redmond ground experience – room booking, room set up, catering, AV capabilities, creating social experiences and the ability to provide levels of information for all teams there. One-offs, including supporting "super groups " that require continuous support while they need conference space available. Responsibilities will be changing each day, need to be able to pivot depending on what is being required and asked. Self-starter mentality required.


Preferred:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 8-10 years of experience required.
  • Strong experienced event planner preferably with experience planning events onsite. Strong and engaging personality. Ability to pivot and handle change.
  • Degrees or certifications required: No specific degree or certification required for the role
  • Experience in planning events onsite.
  • Event Management - 8+ Years
  • Program Management 8+ years
  • Executive Management 5+ years
  • Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Ability to keep information organised and confidential.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
