The Event Planner Intern-Level Two's typical job functions include:

• Becoming familiar with the culture, history and expectations of Boyne Mountain Resort
• Organizing and overseeing all arrangements for corporate, social, in-house group meetings, conventions, and banquets
• Determining group needs and activities by working one-on-one with various meeting planners and group contacts
• Conducting on-site inspections and tours of facilities with prospective clients
• Creating event diagrams based on resort & client requirements
• Developing Group Resumes & Banquet Event Orders outlining all event details for operational involvement
• Assisting with event set-up and banquet execution
• Learning any tasks relevant to your educational experience as assigned by department manager

This position may be for you if:

• You are currently enrolled in a related higher education program
• You are available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
• You are able to communicate effectively - both verbal and written, and have strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• You are focused, detail-oriented, able to display positive customer service and a team player
• You are over 18 years old
• You have successfully completed a prior entry-level event planning, food and beverage, or related internship
