Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Spring Lake seeking Estimators who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Calculate manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, overhead, and profit margins for production.
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates and proposals for customer quotations.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and manufacturable bids.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and specialized services.
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities related to cost and production schedules.
• Maintain and update a database of cost data, supplier pricing, and historical project information.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Demonstrated experience with ERP/MRP systems, CAD software, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for accurate cost modeling and data interpretation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) for cost data extraction and analysis.
• Demonstrated understanding of advanced manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, welding, additive manufacturing).
• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for cost trending and predictive modeling.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles for cost optimization.
