Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other technical documents to understand project requirements.
• Calculate material, labor, overhead, and other production costs for manufactured goods.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and quotations for clients or internal stakeholders.
• Source and obtain competitive quotes from suppliers for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.
• Identify potential risks, cost drivers, and opportunities for cost reduction within the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure estimates align with manufacturing capabilities and customer needs.
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical data for future estimation accuracy and analysis.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costing methods.
• Proficiency with estimating software, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, technical specifications, and RFQ documents.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for detailed cost breakdown and analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel modeling, database management, or business intelligence tools.
• Prior experience in supply chain, procurement, or production planning roles.
• Familiarity with ERP system configuration or advanced module utilization.
