Salary Range: $60,000 - $92,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors for raw materials and services.
• Prepare detailed and competitive price quotations for customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to ensure estimate accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain and update cost databases, pricing models, and historical project data.
• Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering alternatives.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills, including advanced Excel proficiency.
• Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, labor costs, and overheads.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and specialized estimation software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for detailed drawing review.
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics and material sourcing strategies.
