Pay Range:$100,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Cost Estimator who understands how dredging work actually gets done - not just on paper. This role supports bidding and pricing for private industrial marine projects and public work, including USACE contracts.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for hydraulic dredging and marine construction projects

• Review plans, specs, and bid documents

• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors

• Price work for private industrial marine clients and public bids

• Assist with USACE bids and other government contracts

• Apply Davis-Bacon / prevailing wage requirements correctly

• Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and operations

• Support bid strategy, clarifications, and post-bid reviews

• Help price change orders and track historical job costs

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience estimating dredging or marine construction projects

• Hydraulic dredging experience strongly preferred

• Experience with private industrial marine projects

• Familiarity with USACE contracts and public bidding

• Solid understanding of Davis-Bacon / prevailing wage rules

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

• Strong Excel skills and comfort with estimating software

• Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred, not required

• Field experience is a plus - we value practical knowledge
