A growing commercial general contractor is seeking a skilled Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on a diverse portfolio of ground-up and renovation projects. This individual will play a key role in developing competitive bids, analyzing project documents, and working closely with project managers, field leadership, and subcontractors to build accurate project budgets.

Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Review and analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis for labor, materials, and subcontractor scopes.
Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
Assist in the development of conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, and value engineering options.
Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and leadership during preconstruction planning.
Identify potential risk factors, scope gaps, and cost savings opportunities during the estimating process.
Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners to ensure competitive pricing.
Participate in bid reviews, scope clarifications, and proposal preparation.
Assist in project handoff to operations teams once work is awarded.
Qualifications
3–10+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Experience estimating ground-up construction and renovation projects.
Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Experience working with subcontractor bid leveling and scope reviews.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project sequencing.
Proficiency with estimating software, takeoff tools, and Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
