Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain a database of cost information for materials, labor rates, and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare detailed cost proposals and reports for management and clients.
• Identify and assess potential risks and opportunities related to cost estimates.
• Review and adjust estimates based on feedback, market conditions, and actual project costs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and material specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, labor, and overhead costs.
• Advanced proficiency with estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related technical field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with specialized estimating software platforms (e.g., Costimator, Sage Estimating).
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated experience in value engineering or design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Familiarity with global supply chain dynamics and raw material costing.
