Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant is responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Determining the necessary steps to transfer the property title in accordance with the terms outlined in the real estate contract and lender instructions.
- Preparing all closing documents required to ensure the issuance of title insurance at closing.
- Conducting closings with customers, realtors, lenders, and attorneys.
- Opening escrow accounts and drafting escrow instructions.
- Initiating title searches and resolving title issues.
- Ordering payoff demands, as well as homeowners' association (HOA) documents and demands.
- Coordinating with the lender for the buyer's loan.
- Maintaining consistent communication with all parties throughout the escrow process.
- 3+ years of experience as an Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant.
- Proven ability as an experienced Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant ready to support a high-volume Escrow Officer.
- Demonstrated team-player attitude to support a company structure driven by key shareholders.
- Experience or comfort working with high-end real estate transactions directed by major South Bay area real estate agents/shareholders.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
