Senior Escrow Officer

Location: Central & Southern Ohio (Columbus & Cincinnati Markets)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Escrow Officer with extensive residential title insurance expertise. Commercial transaction experience is a strong plus. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the Columbus Realtors' standard purchase contract and possess a strong working knowledge of the Central Ohio and Cincinnati real estate markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of purchase and refinance escrow transactions
  • Wire and receive funds, create and balance Closing Disclosures (CDs), and ensure accurate settlement statements
  • Clear title issues, obtain payoffs, and coordinate all necessary documentation for closings
  • Provide leadership and oversight to escrow team members, reviewing and ensuring quality work
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, lenders, realtors, and other stakeholders
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth closings
  • Schedule and coordinate closing appointments, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Proactively identify and solve problems to facilitate successful transactions

Qualifications

  • Active Title Insurance License in the State of Ohio (required)
  • Extensive residential escrow experience; commercial escrow experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of the Columbus Realtors' standard purchase contract and Central Ohio/Cincinnati real estate markets
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring team members
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with escrow software and related technologies
