Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Beaker & Data Innovations (DI) Analyst to join their LIS team for an 18-month engagement. This consultant will be responsible for supporting the integration and optimization of Epic Beaker with DI Instrument Manager, ensuring accurate lab device connectivity and data flows. This role requires deep technical expertise in middleware configuration, lab instrumentation, and LIS workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and support Epic Beaker and Data Innovations (DI) Instrument Manager.
• Build, test, and validate lab instrument interfaces in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in all phases of application lifecycle management including analysis, build, testing, deployment, and support.
• Coordinate with laboratory operations to understand device workflows and ensure seamless data integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with lab instrument connectivity, results routing, and middleware performance.
• Lead meetings and workgroups to address device integration needs and enhancements.
• Translate business and clinical requirements into scalable technical build specifications.
• Document configurations, workflows, and change controls in accordance with best practices.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in the development of team knowledge in DI and Beaker.

• 5+ years of LIS experience with a focus on Epic Beaker and DI Instrument Manager.
• Demonstrated success implementing and maintaining device interfaces and lab middleware.
• Deep understanding of lab operations, workflows, and result routing.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Epic Beaker certification preferred (CP and/or AP).

• Expertise in Excel Spreadsheets
• Any healthcare related certifications and work experience
