Description:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic ASAP Consultant to support full life cycle implementations and ongoing optimization efforts within our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will have an active Epic ASAP certification, strong functional and technical expertise with Epic modules, and hands-on experience working in pediatric hospital environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support full life cycle Epic ASAP implementations, including requirements gathering, system design, build, testing, training, and go‑live support.
  • Configure, optimize, and troubleshoot the Epic ASAP (Emergency Department) module to meet clinical workflow needs.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and operational leaders, to define requirements and ensure system alignment with emergency care workflows.
  • Build and maintain Epic Inpatient Orders or Epic Inpatient ClinDoc components as needed to support integrated workflows.
  • Design and execute system testing, including functional, integrated, and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide optimization guidance and recommend best practices to improve efficiency, patient safety, and user experience.
  • Develop and deliver training materials and provide end‑user support during implementation and optimization phases.
  • Participate in change control processes, documentation, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure timely resolution of system issues and integration challenges.
  • Support pediatric‑specific build requirements, including workflows unique to pediatric emergency care.
