System One is e are seeking a high-caliber EPC Project Commercial Manager to join EPC firm in San Antiono, TX. This role will be accountable for managing commercial aspects contractually and from a work process perspective as an integral part of leadership teams. Works with developing contracting and financial models to support all phases of EPC work and partnership agreements.
The primary focus is on establishing and managing the commercial work processes, preparing and evaluating proposal economics, assessing and quantifying commercial risks associated with work, and minimizing risk while protecting and optimizing profitability of the work and revenue growth.
EPC Project Commercial Manageris responsible for:
- Manage commercial aspects of EPC contracts, ensuring contractual and work process compliance as part of the business unit leadership teams.
- Develop contracting and financial models to support all phases of EPC work and partnership agreements.
- Establish and oversee commercial work processes, prepare and evaluate proposal economics, and assess and quantify commercial risks to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with legal and risk teams to develop and administer contract strategies, including deal architecture, contract compliance, and financial performance monitoring.
- Lead the development and coordination of contracting methodologies, ensuring conformance with Deal Architecture process.
- Support proposal development and submittal processes with agility and consistency, working closely with support functions and leadership teams.
- Assist Business Area Executive Leadership with financial and commercial reviews, and develop future contracting strategies aligned with market needs.
- Interface with operations, project directors, partners, and clients to administer EPC phases and ensure project success.
EPC Project Commercial ManagerRequirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of EPC project experience, including supporting commercial or contract functions on EPC projects.
- Experience administering EPC contracts during project execution, managing change orders, claims, and amendments.
- Proven ability to support contract negotiations with clients and partners.
- Experience supporting large capital construction projects with a solid understanding of construction contract terms, risk allocation, and insurance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple remote locations and management levels.
- Knowledge of document management, scheduling, advanced work packaging (AWP), and cost management techniques for EPC projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience with contract development, change management, and contract administration.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
