Environmental Technician - Operating Room Floor Tech

Following established procedures, operates a variety of equipment, both electrical and battery-powered, to refinish and maintain tile floors. Assists in the training of other employees on existing and new equipment on proper techniques and procedures pertinent to the job at hand.
Job duties:
-Use of machines to strip the layers of wax from the floor, clean the floor with heavy machines and rewax the floors.
-Close down areas of the OR’s when doing this, but sometimes the room or area needs to be used for a trauma or emergency
-Requires cleaning of the three floors for OR, plus the areas of Preop and PACU, doctor’s lounges, hallways.
-This task is required for specific areas depending on the condition of the floors
Preferred Qualifications:
-Must have the basic ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
-Ability to understand and communicate in English at a basic level to ensure clear direction and effective collaboration with team members who do not speak Spanish. Fluency is not required.
Shift: Monday - Friday / 3rd shift / 7:30 pm - 4:00 am / occassional weekend may be required
Salary Details:
Hourly rate is determined by years of experience relating to this role and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $17.35, max of salary range is $23.60.
Required Qualifications:- Require two (2) years of experience operating a variety of electrical and battery powered equipment and floor care/maintenance equipment.
- Require availability to work on weekends, holidays and other shifts.
- Require basic ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Prefer successful L2 background screening for behavioral health facility access.
Preferred Education:HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
Preferred License and Certs:FDL: Valid Driver's License
Work Days/Shift/Start Time:Monday - Friday / 3rd shift / 7:30 pm - 4:00 am / occassional weekend may be required
