Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures specific to manufacturing operations.
  • Investigate all EHS incidents, accidents, and near misses, determining root causes and recommending preventive measures.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training to employees on various topics including hazard communication, LOTO, and emergency response.
  • Manage hazardous waste streams, air emissions, and wastewater discharge in accordance with environmental permits and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and prepare required regulatory reports.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
  • Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, conduct risk assessments, and lead incident investigations.
  • Strong communication, training, and analytical skills, with experience in EHS data management and reporting.

Bonus Qualifications

  • OSHA Outreach Trainer certification (General Industry or Construction)
  • Experience with EHS management software (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Cority)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experience
  • Internal or external EHS auditing experience (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
