Salary Range: $58,000 - $90,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, EPA).
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure adherence to EHS policies.
• Develop, implement, and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation.
• Investigate all EHS incidents, near misses, and accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain, and update EHS policies, procedures, and programs specific to manufacturing operations.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal, air emissions, and wastewater discharge in compliance with environmental permits.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, prepare regulatory reports, and manage all necessary EHS documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience, with a significant portion in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and their practical application in manufacturing operations.
• Proven experience in EHS program development, risk assessment, incident investigation, and delivering effective EHS training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence behavior and foster a proactive safety culture.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification
• Experience with EHS management software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera)
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher
• Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish)
• Prior experience leading or actively participating in a plant Emergency Response Team (ERT) or HAZMAT team
