Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, state, local).
• Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees on various safety topics and procedures.
• Investigate EHS incidents, accidents, near misses, and spills, determining root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs specific to manufacturing operations.
• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal.
• Prepare and submit required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local environmental health and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Strong communication, training, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage employees at all levels.
• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field.

Bonus Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish)
• Advanced safety or environmental certifications (e.g., ASP, OHST, CHMM)
• Proficiency with EHS management software platforms or data analytics tools
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles in an EHS context
• Specific industry experience within manufacturing (e.g., food processing, chemical, heavy machinery)
