Requirements
- Assist with developing EHS policies and procedures for federal, state, and local OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations (i.e. Lockout, Haz Com, Machine Safety, SARA, RCRA, etc.)
- Assist with the implementation and training of employees on EHS programs and procedures at Company’s this new state=of-the-art facility.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state occupational safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop, implement, execute, and manage strategies to prevent workplace injuries, environmental incidents.
- Work to drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
- Conduct EHS activities such as training/auditing/assessing to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory agency requirements, Zero Zone Management System standards, Emergency Response and internal Company EHS procedures.
- Identify unsafe equipment operation and conditions while demonstrating knowledge of appropriate corrective action for unsafe conditions or equipment use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Industrial Engineering.
- 2+ years’ experience with an emphasis on health and safety implementation in a manufacturing environment. Some environmental compliance experience is desired.
- Demonstrated experience in upgrading health and safety programs and process improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills that include both one on one communication and group communication.
- Ability to lead and deliver training in group settings from 5-50 people at a time.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook).
- Ability to work in fast-paced manufacturing environment.
