Job Description
HireCall is currently seeking an Entry Level Structural Fitter/Welder for a client in Owasso, OK. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic welding knowledge or training who is ready to build a long-term career in a fabrication environment.
In this role, you will assist experienced Welder/Fitters in the fabrication of mufflers used in power plants and gas turbines for power generation. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Welding Support: Assist with structural fitting and welding on carbon steel and stainless steel materials
- Metal Identification: Recognize and differentiate between various metals used in fabrication
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic blueprints and follow specifications for accurate fabrication
- Measurement: Accurately read and use a tape measure for precise measurements
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials
- Fabrication Assistance: Support the assembly and fabrication of components
- Welding Test: Successfully complete a welding test (T-plate uphill weld and flat stack weld)
- Quality Control: Maintain high-quality standards throughout production
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
- Entry-level experience or recent training in structural fitting and welding
- Basic knowledge of welding carbon steel and stainless steel
- Ability to read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately
- Experience operating overhead cranes and/or forklifts preferred
- Ability to pass a welding test
Preferred Qualifications
- Welding certification or completion of a technical program
- Previous exposure to fabrication or industrial environments
