Position Description
The Preventive Maintenance Technician at Applied Medical plays a key role in supporting the reliability and performance of our manufacturing equipment. This entry-level position contributes to operational excellence by performing routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance, while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.
As part of a collaborative team, the Preventive Maintenance Technician helps reduce downtime and supports continuous improvement across our production environments. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their careers in maintenance and who have foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in mechanical systems, equipment troubleshooting, or maintenance practices. Exposure to preventive and predictive maintenance is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect machinery to identify signs of wear, malfunction, or safety concerns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support equipment reliability and operational efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, and inspections
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for equipment optimization
- Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks and ensure timely replenishment to minimize downtime.

- Communicate clearly with team members and team leaders to coordinate maintenance efforts

Position Requirements
This Position Requires the Following Skills and Attributes
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic mechanical aptitude and use of standard hand tools
- Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills in a collaborative work environment
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate documentation
- Capacity to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing work environments and technologies
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in inspecting and maintaining machinery
- Strong time management and prioritization skills for preventive maintenance scheduling
- Adaptability to handle changing work environments and learn new systems or tools
Preferred
