Job Summary

The position assists research scientists in research and development activities and may also support commercially launched products. The role focuses on evaluating chemical and physical properties of substances used in formulated products.
Job Description
- Work with research scientists in developing next-generation herbicide products
- Support research and development activities and assist with commercially launched products
- Evaluate the chemical and physical properties of organic and inorganic substances for use in formulated products
- Perform laboratory tasks following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established guidelines
- Record laboratory activities, procedures, and results in an electronic laboratory notebook system
- Conduct laboratory work using equipment such as pH meters, mixers/agitators, homogenizers, and milling equipment
- Participate in various laboratory projects under the supervision of a supervisor or manager
Skills Required
- At least 1 year of experience in the field or a related area
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Hands-on laboratory experience and strong interest in lab-based work
- Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines
- Basic laboratory techniques and equipment operation
- Understanding of chemistry or chemical engineering principles, including mass-balance calculations
- Experience with rheometer and interfacial measurement tools (preferred)
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Additional Requirements
- Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checks
- Work Shift Start Time: 08:00 AM
- Ability to work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager
- Industrial experience in formulation development preferred (e.g., pesticides, food, cosmetics, consumer products, or paints and coatings)
Pay Rate/Salary
- Estimated Salary: $28.74 to $36.74 per hour. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
