Engineering Recruiter, Manufacturing & Technical Staffing

Remote (Preference for Cincinnati or Columbus, OH)

We’re looking for an Engineering Recruiter to join a growing, Ohio-based staffing firm focused on placing engineering and technical talent across multiple industries. Engineering recruitment in manufacturing is a niche space, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to become a true specialist — building long-term relationships with candidates and helping clients hire the talent that keeps their operations running.

This role will primarily support direct hire searches, with a portion of the business also supporting contract staffing needs. You’ll work on a mix of engineering roles as well as lighter technical positions such as technicians and service technicians.

What You’ll Do
  • Recruit and place engineering professionals within manufacturing environments (including specialized and hard-to-fill roles)
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, coordinating client interviews, and closing offers
  • Support both direct hire recruiting and contract placements, depending on client demand
  • Recruit for a range of technical roles including:
  • Engineers (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Process, Quality, etc.), Technicians, Service Technicians
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates through proactive outreach, networking, referrals, and job boards
  • Partner closely with sales/account managers to understand client needs and deliver high-quality candidate matches
  • Provide consultative guidance to candidates on career opportunities, interview prep, and market trends
  • Track activity and progress in the ATS/CRM and maintain organized candidate notes and follow-ups
  • Help expand recruiting reach into adjacent verticals such as IT and Finance & Accounting as needed

What you need 
  • 2+ years of recruiting experience, ideally in staffing/agency recruiting
  • Experience recruiting engineers or technical professionals strongly preferred
  • Comfort working on both direct hire and contract searches
  • Strong sourcing ability and confidence with outreach (LinkedIn, referrals, job boards, networking)
  • Ability to quickly learn technical roles and ask the right questions (you don’t need to be an engineer, but you need to be curious)
  • Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple openings at once
  • Strong communication skills and a candidate-first mindset
  • Self-starter who thrives in a remote environment and enjoys building relationships
  • Based in or near Cincinnati or Columbus, OH strongly preferred

Nice to Have
  • Experience recruiting within manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with technician and skilled trades recruiting
  • Ability to recruit across multiple verticals (Engineering, IT, Finance & Accounting)
  • Contract staffing experience and knowledge of pay rates, bill rates, and onboarding processes
