MP&P Technical Analyst 2 – Quality Assurance Laboratory

Schedule: Full-time, onsite, 1st shift. Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Duration: 4 months (initial contract, extension possible)
Pay Rate: $40/hr


Job Description

This position is within a Quality Assurance Receiving Inspection Laboratory, responsible for evaluating and controlling incoming composite materials prior to their incorporation into composite detail parts. The role is critical in ensuring that only compliant materials move forward in the production process.

The successful candidate will review supplier documentation, manage the intake of new materials, prepare samples, and perform laboratory testing. Additional tasks include fabricating composite test coupons, conducting tests to ensure compliance with specifications, and documenting results. Knowledge of quality systems is essential to maintain control of compliant and non-compliant materials.

The role also includes performing tests, assisting in material and process analysis, participating in test development, and generating data to support failure mechanism evaluations. Candidates will assist in developing and revising documents and requirements, support evaluation and qualification of suppliers, materials, and equipment, and contribute to continuous product and process improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Review supplier paperwork and log new materials into the laboratory system.

  • Prepare test samples and fabricate composite test coupons for evaluation.

  • Perform laboratory testing to ensure materials meet required specifications.

  • Support analysis of failed parts and processes; document findings and recommendations.

  • Assist in developing and updating technical documents, quality requirements, and procedures.

  • Participate in supplier, material, equipment, and process evaluation and qualification.

  • Contribute to process improvement through testing, data collection, and new technology implementation.

  • Work under general supervision while collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Preferred Skills

  1. Laboratory testing and inspection experience.

  2. Experience with composite materials.

  3. Aerospace or related industry background.


Education & Experience

  • Associate degree plus 1+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • Bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience, OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
