Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to provide day-to-day operational and technical support for network services. This role supports labs, end users, and internal teams through ticket execution (Freshworks and other systems) while maintaining infrastructure documentation and ensuring optimal network performance.
The ideal candidate is passionate about IT networking, thrives in high-pressure environments, and is eager to learn and apply emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support for network services and infrastructure.
- Respond to queries from labs and end-user teams; execute tickets through service platforms.
- Maintain updated network schematic diagrams and low-level architecture documentation.
- Track and maintain accurate inventory of network devices.
- Monitor network performance, system availability, and reliability.
- Install and configure network hardware including wireless access points, switches, routers, and IP phones across labs, offices, and data centers.
- Participate in network implementation and upgrade projects as required.
- Conduct packet-level analysis and assist in troubleshooting complex networking issues.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Background or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
Technical Skills (Required)
- Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment
- Knowledge of switching and routing protocols including VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS
- Familiarity with OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols
- Experience with LAN/WAN/WiFi infrastructure and structured cabling
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, wireless controllers, load balancers, and Infoblox
- Experience with network monitoring tools, automation, and packet-level protocol analysis
- Understanding of network security principles
