- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- 3+ years of employment litigation experience
- Strong legal research, writing, and motion practice skills
- Experience taking and defending depositions
- Familiarity with California Labor Code and FEHA claims
- A genuine interest in trial work; courtroom experience is a plus, but not required
- Comfort in a tech-forward environment; we use AI tools regularly and value attorneys who are open to that
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to a collaborative team
- Manage an active caseload of employment litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery with the support of AI-assisted legal tools
- Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, defendants, and third-party witnesses
- Attend court hearings and case management conferences
- Engage in meet and confer processes, negotiations, and mediations
- Conduct honest, thoughtful case evaluation and risk assessment
- Prepare cases for trial and try them
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with clients throughout their matter
