 Employee Relations Manager, 75% on the floor, 25% local travel in the triad region of North Carolina

  • Serves as the initial contact and liaison for intake and assessment of employee complaints.  
  • Address employee concerns and grievances, conducts investigations/fact finding, and facilitates dispute resolutions.        
  • Conducts initial interviews and gathers information for employee relations matters such as, work complaints, harassment allegations, or other concerns; informs appropriate HR staff when additional investigation is required.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and supervisors on performance management, corrective actions and disciplinary actions.
  • Daily interaction with employees.
  • Assists with the development of employee relations practices necessary to establish a proactive, positive employer-employee relationship.  Promotes a high level of employee engagement by partnering with leadership to identify long-term/ongoing performance issues.
  • Maintains knowledge and understanding of laws and regulations related to EEO, affirmative action, collective bargaining, unions, labor relations and human resources.
  • Guides and educates management, supervisors and workforce in union matters, ensuring a clear understanding of the union campaign and collective bargaining processes.  
  • Works closely with Marketing and Internal Relations Manager to ensure positive employee experiences are achieved, suggests employee events based on gained knowledge of culture, promotes events, and provides support when available during events.
