Are you a dedicated RN ready to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? We are seeking highly skilled Emergency Room Nurses to join our team at a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), where versatility and resilience are essential. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide crucial care across ER and MedSurg units, making a real difference in patient outcomes while expanding your professional expertise.
What Youll Do:
As an ER Nurse at our facility, you will be integral in delivering high-quality emergency and medical-surgical care, often working both units seamlessly. You will handle a diverse range of cases, walk patient pathways, and collaborate with a team committed to excellence. Shifts are 12 hours, from 6 PM to 6 AM, providing a balanced work-life schedule. Be prepared to adapt to fluctuating patient needs, with ER shifts occasionally requiring MedSurg focus. A supportive environment, with a staff ratio typically around 1:3 and a maximum of 5:1, ensures safe, attentive patient care.
Required Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience working in ER and MedSurg settings
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Previous travel experience preferred but not mandatory
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior CAH (Critical Access Hospital) experience
- Experience working with Athena EMR
- Flexibility to float between ER and MedSurg units
- Knowledge of LPN and CNA roles within team dynamics
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency or medical-surgical nursing experience
- Travel nursing background preferred
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM
- Willingness to work in a critical access hospital environment
- No mileage restrictions; housing arrangements should be settled prior to applying
