Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and current emergency medicine certification
- NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (must be verified prior to submitting)
- Proficiency in emergency medical procedures and protocols
- Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a collaborative team setting
- Competence in managing a high-volume emergency department
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Meditech 6.1 EMR system
- Previous work in a high-volume emergency room setting
- Bilingual abilities to serve a diverse patient population
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or equivalent
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in Emergency Medicine
- Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience in a similar setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability for scheduled shifts, including nights and weekends
- Must be physically capable of performing all necessary emergency procedures
- Travel costs associated with employment are capped at $500
- Shifts are 12 hours, with open ICU coverage and an average patient volume of 90-100 patients per day
- Housing will be in hospital-owned apartments
