Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse (Day Shift)
Job Location: Fort Defiance, AZ

Position Summary
The Emergency Department RN provides high-quality patient care across a dynamic and fast-paced ED setting, including Main ED, Fast Track, and Observation Unit. This role requires strong clinical experience, flexibility, and the ability to rotate through various assignments such as triage, quick registration, Covid tent, entry screening, Covid testing, and immunization clinics. Nurses may also be required to float to other departments based on operational needs.
Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective nursing care within Main ED, ED Fast Track, and ED Observation Unit.
• Rotate daily through various assignments including triage, quick registration, Covid tent, and entry screening.
• Adapt to high patient volumes and changing unit needs, including mid-shift reassignments.
• Assist with Covid testing and immunization clinics when required.
• Float to other qualified departments, performing either full patient care or task-oriented duties.
• Maintain accurate documentation in RPMS EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support efficient emergency care.
• Participate in facility orientation and maintain compliance with all required certifications.

• Active RN license (must be current).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room RN experience required.
• Certifications:
  • American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC
  • TNCC
  • Conscious Sedation Certification (obtained at facility; $105 fee)
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and emergency care skills.
• Flexibility to float, rotate assignments, and adjust shifts based on staffing needs.

• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Adaptability to changing assignments and operational demands.
