Embroidery & Design Specialist

SMV Recruiting is partnering with a well-established outdoor apparel and lifestyle brand on a confidential search for an Embroidery & Design Specialist to work outside of Baldwinsville, NY.

About the Role:
This role is primarily responsible for embroidery production on custom apparel including shirts, hats, hoodies, and accessories. In addition to embroidery work, this role supports client-facing design projects by creating and refining artwork for custom orders.

This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who takes pride in quality, works efficiently within structured hours, and brings creativity to every project. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, reliable, and able to balance production accuracy with creative design needs.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor embroidery machines to produce high-quality finished apparel

• Prepare designs and files for embroidery and ensure artwork stitches accurately

• Create and revise custom designs for client apparel orders (shirts, hats, accessories)

• Manage multiple projects while meeting production deadlines and quality standards

• Inspect finished products for accuracy, consistency, and craftsmanship

• Maintain embroidery equipment and keep work areas clean and organized

• Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding order status and design details

Requirements:

• Experience operating commercial embroidery machines

• Experience with embroidery and design software (Wilcom, Tajima, Pulse, or similar)

• Strong creative skills with a sharp eye for detail

• Ability to work consistent, structured hours in a production environment

• Proven ability to work independently, stay organized, and meet deadlines

• Strong communication skills and professional work ethic
