The Opportunity:

The Email Marketing Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Email Marketing team by executing end-to-end email campaigns that engage brokers, consumers, and homeowners across all divisions. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional partners including Regional, Production, Digital, and Divisional Marketing teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of internal and external email communications.

 

The position is responsible for building, deploying, and quality-assuring email campaigns while providing ongoing performance reporting and insights to enhance campaign effectiveness. The Email Marketing Coordinator helps maximize the impact of email marketing programs and supports the Company’s competitive positioning through operational excellence, attention to detail, and continuous optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Email Marketing Operations

  • Initiate, review, edit, and quality-check email insertion orders (IOs) to support divisional marketing needs and ensure alignment with Marketing and Divisional leadership direction.
  • Manage and track email IOs using project management tools (e.g., Workfront), collaborating with Divisions, Production, Promotions, and Web teams to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Design, build, and execute customer email journeys, including audience segmentation, targeting, and campaign setup through final approval.
  • Proofread all email communications for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency, ensuring brand standards are met.
  • Conduct A/B testing to optimize subject lines, content, layouts, and calls-to-action.
  • Ensure all email templates are responsive and optimized for mobile and desktop performance.
  • Perform quality assurance checks before deployment to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Pull, analyze, and report email performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to divisions, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
  • Research and implement email marketing best practices to continuously improve templates, personalization, messaging, and audience segmentation.
  • Partner with Production and Regional teams to make updates, edits, and corrections to division-requested campaigns.
  • Build and manage targeted customer segments using identifying data to support effective outreach to prospective homebuyers.

Email Enhancements & Special Projects

  • Collaborate with Email and Marketing leadership on corporate initiatives and special projects as assigned.
  • Partner with Email team members to test campaigns and troubleshoot issues related to email platforms or software.
  • Work with IT and external email vendors to identify, escalate, and resolve database, deliverability, or deployment issues.
  • Stay current on email marketing trends, tools, and regulations (including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA) to ensure compliance and maximize campaign performance.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, English, or a related field preferred
  • 1+ years of marketing experience in a customer service–oriented environment required
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms or CRMs (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Drip, or similar ESPs)
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry, particularly residential homebuilding, preferred
  • Corporate writing or content development experience preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly for customer-facing communications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and persuasively
  • Foundational understanding of marketing principles, advertising, and consumer behavior
  • Proficient, working knowledge of HTML and Microsoft Dynamics or comparable CRM platforms
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to build effective professional relationships
  • Customer-centric mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Requirements:
  • Work 8-hour days with flexibility for overtime when necessary
  • Conduct business in a professional and ethical manner to potential buyers, trade partners, and coworkers to reinforce goodwill and profitability for the company
  • The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation. 
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Ability to move about work location.
  • Ability to drive/travel as needed to tour KB Home communities.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs.
  • Ability to observe details at close range and communicate information so others will understand.
  • Ability to transport and move up to 20 lbs and move as needed (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/IT/Land/Marketing/Sales/Studio).   
  • Periodically works in outdoor weather conditions (for roles in Construction/Customer Service/Land/Sales).
