JOB SUMMARY: The Validation Team Lead is responsible for leading a small team of engineers while driving end-to-end validation and testing of embedded systems and digital solutions. This role focuses on OTA testing, test strategy, automation, and ensuring high-quality software validation aligned with Agile practices and project goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead a validation team (2–3 engineers), including task allocation, mentoring, and performance oversight Provide technical guidance and ensure alignment with project objectives Support OEM partners in integrating digital solutions from development through release Own end-to-end test execution including planning, execution, and documentation in PLM systems Drive test quality, coverage, and overall validation excellence Design and enhance test strategies, including OTA and data validation scenarios Collaborate with project managers on timelines, risks, and deliverables Develop reusable test artifacts, coverage metrics, and validation frameworks Build automation tools/scripts to improve efficiency and expand coverage Establish testing standards, documentation practices, and reporting mechanisms Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in a related field Advanced experience in OTA testing and embedded/device validation Intermediate knowledge of CAN, J1939, UDS protocols Experience with CANalyzer or PCAN tools Intermediate experience in test automation and scripting Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) Strong experience in test strategy, coverage, and validation processes Experience working with PLM systems Familiarity with Agile methodologies (sprint planning, backlog, defect tracking) Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills Basic team leadership experience Preferred Qualifications: Experience designing test frameworks or improving validation processes Experience defining validation KPIs and coverage metrics Familiarity with telematics and cloud-device integration Experience creating dashboards for test tracking and reporting EXPERIENCE: Typically 5–8+ years of experience in embedded systems testing/validation with some leadership exposure EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Education: Bachelors Degree
