In this role, you'll be at the forefront of our metal fusion processes, expertly handling cutting-edge electron beam welding technology. Your main duties will include configuring and managing welding equipment to ensure the seamless joining of metal components, adhering strictly to detailed technical guidelines. Beyond daily operations, you'll drive innovation by supporting the development of cutting-edge welding techniques and shaping our production methodologies.
Primary Duties:
- Welding Equipment Management:
- Set up and manage electron beam welding machinery, guaranteeing precise and efficient metal joining based on detailed requirements.
- Innovative Welding Solutions:
- Execute routine welding operations while contributing to the evolution of advanced welding practices.
- Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with the Production Supervisor to align with client project requirements and timelines.
- Quality Control:
- Conduct timely assessments to verify that welding operations meet exacting quality standards and specifications.
- Production Issue Management:
- Report potential production hurdles to supervisors, aiding in issue resolution and deadline adherence.
- Machinery Health Monitoring:
- Regularly evaluate equipment performance, notifying supervisors of necessary maintenance needs.
- Quality and Improvement Advocacy:
- Partner with our Quality Assurance team to enhance current processes and elevate quality output.
- Resolution of Quality Concerns:
- Coordinate with the QA team to resolve any customer issues related to welding standards.
- Precision Measurement Utilization:
- Employ inspection instruments confidently to ensure specification accuracy.
- Technical Documentation Proficiency:
- Skillfully interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical guides to execute complex welding tasks.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
- Professional Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in Electron Beam or Laser Welding is essential.
- Core Skills:
- Strong competency in reading and applying technical drawings and guides.
- Well-versed in utilizing welding machinery and precision measurement tools.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills to efficiently resolve production challenges.
Working Environment:
- The role demands keen precision, focus on safety practices, and adeptness in handling complex tools within a manufacturing setting.
