Wage
- Wages range based on Experience | Experienced Techs range from $30 - $38+/hour
Hours:
1st Shift - Weekday Position
- Mon-Thurs | 6am - 4pm
- Fridays | 6am - 12pm
Industrial Mechanical Tech:
This position is responsible to meet the goals and objectives of the organization by maintaining, repairing, replacing electro-mechanical equipment to meet production goals and ensure effective production and manufacturing equipment up-time. Duties include but aren't limited to:
- Maintain, repair electro-mechanical equipment including but not limited to drive systems, positions sensors, cabling and automatic production equipment,
Work with mechanical and or electrical engineers to install and evaluate electro-mechanical systems
Build mock-ups of production equipment and other specifications
Understand and apply knowledge of electricity, electronics, hydraulics, electric motors and mechanics to identify, troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, improve, repair and/or install.
Read technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
Document technical information through descriptive writing, sketches/diagrams, mathematical expression, computation, and graphs.
Perform electrical, mechanical, and fluid measurements by properly selecting tools and test equipment.
Perform electrical/mechanical assembly/disassembly, repair, or calibrate components by properly selecting tools and equipment and following procedures
Apply programming languages to the control of single programmable controllers and industrial networks.
Apply critical thinking skills to solving problems.
Effectively communicate and perform in a team environment.
Maintain, track, collect and report necessary data
Work closely with the maintenance team, machine operators, and others for preventive maintenance, projects, installation and repairs.
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Experience/Education:
- High School or GED with good math and reasoning
- Electromechanical Apprenticeship in manufacturing preferred
- Advanced skills (journeyman level) required in one or more of the following HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, piping and PLC programming. Understand overall operation and control of manufacturing machine equipment.
- 5+ years Industrial mechanical experience including experience trouble shooting PLCs and working on industrial motor controls
- Experience working in the packaging industry on converting bag machines, flexographic presses or blown film extruders is a plus.
