The Electro‑Mechanical Technician will maintain and operate production equipment to ensure optimal uptime, quality, and performance across mechanical and electrical systems. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and automated systems while guiding production staff on dispensing and packaging operations. TheElectro-Mechanical Technician will also perform preventive maintenance independently and clearly communicate equipment status to operations.

 

Location:on-site at our Closed door LTC pharmacy (9006 Yellow Brick Rd, Baltimore, MD 21237)

Compensation: Starting at $33 - $36/hr. (dependent upon experience) +shiftdifferential

Schedule:6:00 PM – 6:30 AM | 12 Hour Shifts | Rotating weekly schedule

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and operate dispensing and packaging equipment, ensuring systems perform to design specifications.
  • Perform and document preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine cleaning of equipment and surrounding areas.
  • Troubleshoot system faults, reduce downtime, prevent repeat issues, and minimize material waste.
  • Execute corrective repairs independently and support permanent corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, requisition needed components and assemble/test mechanical devices using technical documentation.
  • Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track work orders, document maintenance activities, and manage calibrations and parts.
  • Train production operators on equipment setup, operation, fault recovery, and material handling.
  • Provide first‑level response for equipment issues and deliver thorough written and verbal shift pass‑downs.
  • Support special projects, rebuilds, and general pharmacy/production tasks as assigned.
  • Handle receiving, storing, staging, and movement of production materials in warehouse and production areas.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Education/Certifications: High School graduate, GED, Technical school graduate or equivalent training Required
  • Experience: 3+ years of electro-mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment, including repairing and servicing automated machinery required
  • Proficient in use of power tools/ measuring devices
  • Basic background in general machine shop practices and experience with 220V power systems required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel) preferred
