Shape solutions for customers who build things that move

PrideStaff is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Support Technologist for an established manufacturing company in Bend, Oregon. If you like tracing signals through a circuit, explaining complex ideas simply, and helping people get machines back online, you’ll feel at home here.

A day in the life

You start by reviewing overnight cases in the ERP/CRM and calling customers to triage issues. One moment you’re walking a technician through multimeter checks and reading a wiring schematic together; the next you’re guiding a new user through setup, calibration, and best practices. You tap our knowledge base, reference CAD/CAM outputs when needed, and document each step clearly. If parts are required, you generate part and warranty orders and track them to resolution. From time to time—once you’re trained—you’ll head onsite for training, diagnostics, or a hands-on repair.

How you’ll contribute

  • Provide remote technical support for mechanical and electrical systems via phone, email, and diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software issues
  • Onboard and coach users on setup, calibration, and operating best practices
  • Leverage ERP, CRM, CAD/CAM software, and our knowledge base to research and resolve cases
  • Log support cases, track issues to closure, and manage part and warranty orders
  • Occasionally travel to customer sites for training, diagnostics, or repair (once trained)

What you bring

  • Hands-on skill with mechanical/electrical systems; confident with multimeters, common hand tools, and reading schematics/manuals
  • Understanding of basic electronics: switches, relays, sensors, motors, fuses, and power supplies
  • Ability to diagnose issues remotely and communicate clearly with a wide range of users
  • Comfort with Microsoft OS, email, and business systems (ERP/CRM)
  • Positive, accountable, team-first approach; self-directed with strong time management and on-the-job learning habits

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of troubleshooting or hands-on technical experience
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused problem solver with excellent interpersonal skills
