How Your Day Unfolds

  • Run scheduled preventive maintenance on major production equipment to protect reliability and throughput.
  • Pinpoint and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and power‑transmission systems.
  • Respond to breakdowns, perform changeovers, and complete benchwork: rebuilds, detailed cleaning, and operational checks.
  • Reference technical manuals, specifications, shop drawings, and schematics to guide accurate repairs.
  • Complete seasonal maintenance and facility equipment checks, including during non‑standard hours when needed.

Safety & Compliance First

  • Follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements—every task, every time.
  • Operate pallet jacks, lift trucks, jib/gantry cranes, and man lifts with care and certification where required.
  • Use hand and power tools correctly; keep a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
  • Perform inspections, complete documentation, and conduct in‑process quality checks as part of standard work.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Keep the Maintenance Manager, Senior Maintenance Technician, production teams, and the Shift Manager informed on equipment status and next steps.
  • Coach junior mechanics, sharing best practices and safe techniques.
  • Partner with maintenance and production to align on daily priorities and project milestones.

Continuous Improvement Mindset

  • Apply foundational LEAN tools, including 5S and continuous improvement methods, to reduce waste and downtime.
  • Support sustainability efforts that lower energy consumption and minimize scrap and waste.
  • Capture clear after‑action notes, update procedures, and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Replenish parts, tools, and consumables to keep work moving.

Facilities Touchpoints

  • Help with facility upkeep such as painting, drywall patching, and basic plumbing repairs.

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance or related industrial mechanical experience (required).
  • Familiarity with metal fabrication technologies—lasers, press brakes, thermoforming, and robotics—preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated strength in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams and confidently use a digital multimeter (DMM).
  • Solid math skills, including fractional and decimal calculations.
  • Comfort locating and using digital documents, instructions, and forms.
  • Adaptable, solutions‑oriented, and responsive to shifting priorities.
  • Clear, effective verbal communication skills.

Working Environment

  • Standing and walking for up to 90% of the shift.
  • Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and safely lifting 50 lbs.
  • Tasks at ground level, elevated positions, and in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to manufacturing noise, temperature changes, and occasional outdoor conditions.
  • May work any shift; regular overtime, including weekends, is expected.
