Job Details
Additionally, $1/hr for nights and $2/hr for 12 hour schedule
Work Schedule 2-2-3 7pm - 7am
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, and control panels.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical systems, including pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, extruders, mixers, and material handling equipment.
- Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems used in production equipment.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Support plant operations by responding quickly to equipment failures and production issues.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation within the facility’s maintenance management system.
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and plant policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, plastics, polymer processing, compounding, or similar industrial environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to read electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of VFDs, motors, sensors, relays, and control systems.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with extrusion, compounding, or plastics processing equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial automation, robotics, and process control systems.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermal imaging, etc.).
Work Environment
- Industrial manufacturing facility producing advanced polymer materials and specialty compounds for a variety of industries.
- Work may include exposure to heat, dust, noise, and moving mechanical equipment.
- Position may require shift work, overtime, or on-call support depending on production needs.
