Electrical Technician

- Electrical or mechanical experience preferred (automotive, truck, equipment, or similar)
- Ability to troubleshoot and work with wiring, relays, connectors, and controllers
- Willingness to learn and grow into a lead role over time
- Licensed electrician not required
- Learn Burke's standards of quality work
- Learn how to wire salters and hydraulic controllers in trucks
- Learning how to install lighting on trucks and amp draws
- Learn basic truck air supplies and hookup air supplies to functions
- Start working alone on easy wiring projects
- Learn how to build switch panels, salter controls/consoles
- Learn how to hook up power to systems and their needs
- Learn how to calibrate salters and final truck inspections
The Electrical Technician plays a key role in our shop at Burke Truck & Equipment. This position is responsible for wiring, installing, and troubleshooting electrical systems on trucks and equipment to make sure everything works the way it should before it leaves our shop.
This job is important because electrical work is a big part of what we build. If it’s not done right, equipment doesn’t run properly, jobs get delayed, and customers aren’t happy. A solid technician helps keep work moving, catches problems early, and makes sure we’re putting out reliable, quality builds every time.
