Electrical Supervisor
Lead Electrical Reliability | PLC & Controls Leadership | Industrial Manufacturing
Location: Near Crystal Hill, VA | Full-Time, Plant-Based Role

A major U.S. manufacturing organization with a long track record of producing engineered building systems and high-quality construction materials (products that have reshaped structural sheathing and subfloor technologies) is hiring an Electrical Supervisor to lead electrical maintenance at its Crystal Hill, VA area facility. This plant runs highly automated equipment that supports continuous operations where reliability — and the people who enable it — truly matters.

This is not entry maintenance — this is a leadership seat where your technical expertise and your ability to manage teams, systems, and outcomes will directly impact uptime, safety, and plant success.

What You’ll Do

Lead & Manage Electrical Maintenance

  • Assign and prioritize electrical work across the maintenance team

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical systems, controls, and automation

  • Review and support PLC program logic changes and field implementations

  • Ensure materials, spares, and manpower are ready to keep uptime high

Develop Technical Talent

  • Train and mentor electricians on new technologies and equipment

  • Monitor performance, build skills, and enhance team capability

  • Promote adherence to plant policies and safety standards

Drive Reliability & Performance

  • Maintain and evolve preventive maintenance programs

  • Analyze equipment failure patterns and initiate corrective actions

  • Partner with production leadership to minimize downtime and improve throughput

Safety & Compliance Leadership

  • Champion safety and environmental compliance across electrical operations

  • Support plant fire systems and emergency protocols

  • Lead investigations and corrective follow-up on incidents

Operational Improvement

  • Recommend changes to maintenance procedures to boost efficiency and safety

  • Support parts and inventory planning with purchasing

  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance workspaces

Compensation & Benefits That Stand Out

  • Competitive base salary up to ~$115K+ (aligned with similar roles in the region and industrial manufacturing)

  • Performance bonuses (individual & profit sharing) incentives that make the total compensation package compelling

  • Robust benefits including health, 11.25% retirement match, and paid time off — employees in this space often rate pay and benefits favorably versus local averages in the area

  • Opportunity to influence process reliability, safety culture, and team effectiveness

What They’re Looking For

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering field

  • 3+ years hands-on industrial electrical or maintenance experience

  • PLC and industrial automation expertise

  • Skilled in electrical troubleshooting across industrial equipment

  • Leadership experience with technicians or maintenance crews

  • Comfortable with common maintenance software, spreadsheets, and documentation tools

What Success Looks Like

You’ll be known for:

  • A well-trained and responsive electrical team

  • Reduced unplanned downtime and stronger preventive systems

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with production and operations

  • A safe, compliant, and well-organized maintenance environment

Why This Opportunity Matters

  • Leadership role in a highly automated manufacturing facility

  • Influence over electrical reliability, controls strategy, and team development

  • Competitive total compensation, including bonuses and benefits designed to reward performance

  • Work where your decisions directly affect plant uptime and success
