We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Permanent Electrical Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your leadership skills and technical expertise in the field of electrical construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall site management, supervision, and coordination of all electrical construction activities. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, quality control, and effective subcontractor management. The Permanent Electrical Superintendent will be the driving force behind ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with building codes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all electrical construction activities on site, ensuring work is performed in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Lead and manage a team of electricians and subcontractors, fostering a culture of teamwork, productivity, and quality workmanship.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and guidelines, conducting regular safety inspections and meetings to promote a safe working environment.
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the project requirements and standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure smooth execution of project plans.
  • Review and interpret electrical plans and specifications, ensuring all work is carried out as per design requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to design, material, or labor.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes and regulations, ensuring all work is compliant.
  • Regularly communicate project progress, issues, and resolutions to upper management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in site management, subcontractor management, and team leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret electrical plans and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of building codes and standards related to electrical construction.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a diverse team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality control.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid electrician's license.
  • Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is a plus.
