Our client is seeking a visionary Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team in Southwest Michigan and bridge the gap between industrial design and functional excellence.

Your Mission

  • Product Architecture: Design internal layouts that masterfully balance space constraints, thermal management, and structural integrity.
  • Control Logic & Programming: Conceptualize and implement various types of control logic, including circuit boards, data displays, and functional lighting.
  • Prototyping & Testing: Build works-like and looks-like prototypes while conducting rigorous validation, including ingress protection and lifecycle stress testing.
  • Global Collaboration: Partner with multidisciplinary teams and vendors to oversee tooling, molding, and first-article inspections.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: You have 3 years of mechanical and electrical design experience in a manufacturing environment. High-volume consumer product experience is a plus.
  • Technically Elite: You are proficient in 3D engineering software and possess a strong understanding of GD&T principles.
  • Versatile Skills: You can read electronics schematics and integrate PCBAs, cable routing, thermal simulations into compact housings, and C++ programming.
  • Education: A degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, though equivalent professional experience is also acceptable.
