  • Position Title: Electrical Journeyman.                                                                 
  • Location: Del Rio, TX.  
  • FLSA: Non-Exempt.                                 
  • Hire Pay: $21-$26 per hour.                
  • Classification: Temporary.

We’re seeking a Licensed Electrical Journeyman with strong experience in installing and repairing electrical systems on commercial construction sites. The ideal candidate is skilled in reading blueprints, ensuring compliance with electrical codes, and delivering high-quality work—especially on high-security or complex commercial projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Transport and maintain essential tools, materials, and equipment required for commercial electrical work.
  • Travel to and between designated commercial job sites as needed.
  • Perform site inspections, evaluate project requirements, and determine appropriate courses of action within project constraints.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including wiring, plugs, panelboards, switchgear, and related components.
  • Set up and service commercial-grade electrical machinery and systems.
  • Monitor and manage inventory to ensure materials are available for daily operations.
  • Accurately log hours worked and materials used to support project cost tracking.
  • Adhere strictly to OSHA and company safety standards and protocols.
  • Provide timely, professional, and respectful service on active construction sites.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project completion.
     
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED: 
  • May provide guidance and oversee the work of Electrical Apprentices on-site to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Reports to and works under the supervision of a licensed Master Electrician, as required by state regulations.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Requires frequent physical activity, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials and equipment.
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other job-specific safety gear as required on commercial construction sites.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY: 
This position is subject to the DLP STAFFING, Drug-Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing. 
 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-recognized electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Valid state-issued Journeyman Electrician license (if required).
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to perform tasks in physically demanding environments.
  • Must pass a background check.
